Join us for a 3-man Doctoring!
Open will be a pick one/draw one. Mixed will be a pick only. This will be a progressive roping. A team must get a time in the first round to move onto the second round. Top ten in the open and top five in the mixed will come back for a third round. Only one team member from the open can rope on a mixed team. Please be sure to designate one person to sign up a team. This person must list all members of the given team during sign-up. All team members must have profiles on snakeriverarena.com.
Time starts when any contestant crosses the marked rodear line to sort. Announcer will give team a designated number. Team will need to sort the calf from the herd and through the gate before the calf can be roped. Time ends when calf has both front and hind legs stretched, ground man is clear, and calls for time.
There will be a 3 minute time limit in the open. There will be a 4 minute time limit in the mixed.
A "No Time" will occur if:
~Any cattle other than the designated animal crosses the line prior to the designated animal being sorted.
~The designated animal crosses back over the rodear line after being sorted, regardless if they have been roped or not.
Legal head catches include Head, Neck and Front Leg, Figure Eight one or both front legs. Cattle must be legally necked before a heel shot can be taken. Anything roped around the belly must be pulled.
Please no dallying on a high hock. Dallying on a high hock will be a 10 second penalty.
No roughing the cattle! This includes but is not limited to choking, dragging, stirring, or hitting critter when it is down. Roughing of cattle may result in a "No Time" at the judges discretion. show less
